Thank you for bringing us here tonight to discuss the city and the city's county business and be with us, be with the ones that cannot make it here tonight and these and everything else, yes and your name makes me mad. Okay, approval of tonight's agenda. Thank you. So what about Mr. Buster? I'll just second. Second by Ms. Lawfer. Any questions? All in favor? All in favor? All opposed? Ayes have it. Public comments? There is none. Report to, oh, back up that. Review approval of meeting minutes from April 7th, 2026. Meeting. Motion to approve. Mr. Busker? I'll second it. Seconded by Ms. Lawfer. Any questions? All in favor? All opposed? Ayes have it. Okay, a public comment before to committee, Sheriff Schwab. Real quick for this evening, in the hiring process, we have four that have completed the field training program and they are now released to the patrol. We have two that have graduated from school and they are in the third week of the FTO program. And that is it, we're at full staff for the first time in years. Taking your turn, you put out the crime suppression unit. That's okay, I did not see those this time. and that's all I have. The only other thing I want to bring up is I want to thank Beth Henning from the zoning. I've been working with her and the road commissioners about vendor agreements. So when like a company is putting something up, for example, solar, they're using trucks on roads and they're beating up the roads. What we found out is some of the county commissioners didn't really know what their authority was to get those roads under control and maybe have a permit to allow these vendors to use the roads. And then what to do if they do break up the roads. So we are in the beginning processes of that. I was able to give them a lot of information. I just did that with their, their commissioner president this morning, Josh, and then the next thing I'm also working on when it comes to roads is overweight vehicles, um, we're finding out overweight vehicles are, are running a muck around the County, even when the roads are posted, uh, I believe the the latest one that was brought to my attention was a $30,000 fine that an overweight vehicle was on a road, a township road. And, um, I'm not sure what we're going to do about that one, where that's going to be in the court proceedings. But I have, I am sending four people to wait, uh, wait, front wait school. I don't even know what it's called because we've never done it before. and then that way, if a road commissioner or a county highway department person finds a vehicle that they feel is overweight, we can weigh that and see if there is a problem. So we're in the beginning stages of that. I've also talked to the circuit clerk about fines and then I will be talking to the state's attorney on how we're going to proceed. If we do put a lot of time and effort into this, how we're going to handle that. Bob, I will keep you up to date on that as I get more information. Any questions? With the being fully staffed, how many activities are you able to do on the road at a time? On the road at a time, there's four per shift. We will have four per shift. So right now we have, with the two that are in training, we have three shifts with four and one shift with three. Yeah, and that was the overall goal is to get that one. and one more person for each shift. Before we go ahead, I need to back up to get approval calling whether it's public safety, $151,148.96 in public property at 56,452.30 cents. Motion to approve. Moved by Mr. Busker, seconded by Ms. Lawfer, any questions? All in favor? All opposed? Aye, Savage. Okay, now we can move on. Emergency management agency. Pension for Scott. I think we're just aware of the tornado that hit. First off, the sheriff and his staff did an excellent job. and from the beginning of that, certainly in the response phase, but now we're in the public stage, so yesterday we toured with the Small Business Administration and they needed 25 major damage dwellings, which we achieved that pretty quickly, and so now we're just waiting for paper. Any questions? Okay. For April, we had a total of 43 deaths. We've responded to nine of those. Autopsies, we performed a three cases. We signed 17 cases. The doctor's sign was 26, 42 of those were natural and one suicide with zero pending. And the other thing I have to report is that same storm that went through Lena that produced your tornado on our vehicle also suffered some panel damage, what that's far. And I believe that's lumped in under the same claim for the rest of the county vehicles. So it's a long deductible that the county's paying for. Okay. I'll go for it, yes, I'll go for it. Any other questions? Mr. Bush, can I ask a question? How old was the individual that met suicide, do you know? I do not have it off the top of my head. Does that say your county? I can't remember. I don't remember. Well, there's no old business, no new business. Any comment from committee members? Motion to adjourn. Tom, could you- I have one statement here. So for the vehicles that got damaged, the three that got damaged for the Sheriff's office, were all vehicles that were actually working that night and responding to Lena. The rest of those, we have standing order when there's bad weather that they have to get them inside. So all of our vehicles, all of our vehicles, except for the three that we're working, we're fine. And then the other thing with the tornado that I forgot to mention is if there's a declaration, I believe there is right now, EMA is working on getting reimbursed for a lot of the expense that was created through the tornado. So we have all of our fuel usage and all of our overtime has been documented. We will be submitting that to EMA if we do get that reimbursement from the state. So we're ready to go for that also. That's all I have Mr. Bush. I make a motion to adjourn. Moved by Ms. Lawford. Second. Second by Ms. Lawford. All in favor? Aye. All in favor? Aye. So moved. If the person's open, in positive spirit.
