Go ahead and call the meeting to order. It's the nursing home center committee. Uh, this is May 14th, Thursday at six 30. And does somebody want to do the prayer? I can do it. Dear heavenly father, thank you for your guidance and blessings this evening. Please keep everyone safe with the weather you are experiencing today and into the evening. We've prayed for rain and we sure are getting it. This will help the farmers with their crops. In Jesus' name, amen. First, I pledge allegiance to the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. The agenda there is a correction on that so I don't know how you guys want to do that the census was 80 that's it said last month but and then in the minutes at 74 well I think we should approve the agenda and then when you get to that okay do I have a motion to approve the agenda this is Baker second second mr. And Hadley. All in favor say aye. Opposed say aye. Motion carries. And then with the correction. I'll say a point of information. It's probably going to be different every single time I come compared to the report that I sent because like it's different tonight than the report that I sent. So I don't know how much that matters to you guys because that's what I have. It was 80 when I came, but when I sent you guys the report, the reports have to be in two days prior to go out with the packet, so there's usually a change between what's reported at the committee and what's in the packet. We'll go into review and approval of the meeting minutes for May 14th, 2026. Motion to approve. Snaker, Mr. Hadley, second. All in favor, say aye. Opposed, same sign. Motion carries. Approval of the claims. Do I have a motion to approve the claims? Yes, I'm on the phone. Oh, okay. Tax requirement, $161, manual zero, total is $161. Motion to approve. Second. Mr. Hadley, move to approve the claims. All in favor, say aye. Aye. Opposed, say it's signed. Motion carried. And there was probably comments tonight on the report from the committee. Okay. Again, something has changed since my report. It was 75 on my report at 78 today. All the POCs for annual life safety are submitted. Again, the facility continues to monitor staffing levels. We did have to start using the agency again the last couple of weeks because we added a few CNAs. So until we hire them from the community, we will have to use a couple of agency CNAs to keep that staffing ratio. So there was about 45 to 48 hours the last two weeks of agency, just a couple shifts. And then this is not a metaphor, but I thought it was exciting that we're opening our nursing department even further for even more acute patients. We're gonna start training on TPN, CPT vests, and LVAD wires, so. I've already done the training for LVAD wires. Is that what it is? So CPT vests are the best that you wear when you can't cough your mucus up and it shakes it so it comes up on its own. LVAD wires are a wire that's inserted right below your heart and it helps your blood pump oxygen through your body. And then TPN is total parenteral nutrition and it's an IV of like what a tube is, but it's through an IV when you have problems that it can't pass through your digestive system at all. So we're looking at all of those. And I think that's exciting. Yeah. Otherwise, that's all I have. Did I see something where the CNN Week starts today? Oh, I'm so sorry. Yes, CNN Week starts today. What's that entail? It's where we celebrate our CNNs. We'll do different activities every day for the next week. Okay. Isn't Lena doing that serenity over there by the same people, isn't it? Each facility is responsible for their own activities. Gotcha, gotcha. Thank you. And old business settled. Is there a new business adjournment? Wait one minute please. There was a fine. Yes. We discussed that. Sure. So, um, we got a g-tag, which would, which results in a monetary fine. A resident fractured her hip back in March, and then I reported to state, of course, and then we had an employee that I had to terminate, unfortunately, and she was upset by her termination, so she called state, and they, she called them on short staffing and she reported this incident and they came in to investigate and because the woman suffered a fracture, we ended up with a tag and a sign. Okay, so how is that going to be handled? It's already handled. I've already submitted the plan of correction. Well, we did the plan of correction right away when we got the tag because you did the plan of correction immediately where the entire staff, including therapy, got training on gait belt usage and transfer status and ambulation with residents. And then what else? We did competencies on the gatebelt usage and transferring as well. And it's being monitored multiple times a day to make sure that every staff member has all their equipment and staff that doesn't have equipment is given it to them. Like if they come without it, we have experts to make sure everybody has one. And then when you get the fine, what happens is you have to submit the POC again. So that's what I was doing this week because I was submitting it again. So it's like you do it twice. So we were notified on Monday, the county, since the license is in our name, they notified us. So as far as the payment's concerned, how is that being handled with Serenity? Serenity stands. Okay, but are they going to, because I think there's a 35% reduction if it's done within 10 business days. And I think we as a county need to respond to that. Is that not correct? I already did. You already did? Okay, all right. So, is Serenity paying IDPH directly or are they paying the county and the county's paying IDPH? How is that processed? They'll pay IDPH. Okay. All right, thank you. How much is the fine? It was $25,000, but with the reduction, you take like 31% off, which equaled like $16,000 that day. Saddam, this is. That's all I have, thank you. What's that? Do you have a motion to adjourn? So moved. Mr. Bush? All in favor? Aye. Thank you for your time. The meeting will be July 9th at 6.30.
